Is this going to be in the November 10 (Tuesday) paper edition of USA Today? Or has it already been printed?
It'd be nice to shove that in their faces at the cart...especially (some) of the seniors who aren't trusting of anything off the internet.
here's a link to the usa today article.
let's hope the verdict sets a precedent in delaware.... @least it would be a start.. http://usat.ly/1ip4mxr.

a family member who is a bethelite informed me today that there is a letter to be read soon ( this week or next) concerning the downsizing.
so probably someone who has their midweek meeting early in the week will be able to fill in the details.
Please be assured that these adjustments are not being made because of a lack of financial support on your part.
Isn't that from the same script that Sam Herd read at the 2015 'Annual Meeting?' Also, is there an available download for THAT letter (like so many other BOE letters that are out there)?
Last, it'd be nice to see a back-to-back clip of Lett's JW broadcast, from earlier this year, when he says "there is more money going out, than coming in," followed by Herd's statement to the contrary. My Youtube editing skills are lacking...as is my spare time. But, maybe someone could tackle it.

The Salvation Army, a "worldly" organization of "christiandom" has this cool site which breaks down their financials in a pretty transparent way:
http://salvationarmyannualreport.org/financials
Even the First United Methodist Church of Austin, TX displays their financial laundry for all to see:

So, my question is, does the Watchtower, which seems to pride itself on spit & polish organization and exceptionalism, have ANYTHING remotely like this?? Im asking because I'm a non-JW who is married to one. I'd like to stuff the above financial reports right in her elder/elderette friends faces. 😊
before they just go ahead and file chapter 7 or 11?
.
Let us not forget the Borg has billions of dollars worth in property/assets at their disposal.
Exactly. But, since there's no liquidity there, they are begging for cash, stopping (or slowing) new construction, and laying off Bethelites, ect. Sure, they can sell off their property assets, but that won't turn a profit overnight. It would ALSO cause them to further cannibalize their organization, which might serve to wake more JWs up. I tend to think they're screwed either way.

Don't underestimate the cumulative affect of abuse lawsuits:
so i've been pretty good at not going to meetings lately.
yesterday i went for the co's last talks.
older co. his last talk was absolutely shocking.

I'd like to dig up previous Watchtower articles/writings that contradict all this. I'm sure they put something out there before, which CRITICIZES other religions for doing JUST THAT: child baptisms.
I'm sure that the JWs have used 1 Cor 7:14 (children sanctified through parent's faith) before, to defend AGAINST child baptisms.
If any former JWs know if any such Watchtower writings, please post some references. I'd love to smear it in their faces and make 'em eat it.
yep, he told her that he wants to go a friends b-day...keep in mind it's not until december.
well anyway i told her i didn't mind if he did and i would take him.

You have a window open for him, to get an open
Very true. My wife would lay the guilt trip on my son for other things, like Scouts. The year before last, I took him up for a small plane ride for his B-day. When we were getting ready to go to the airport, she said something like "you were planning this, weren't you." With a smirk, I said, "yep," and off we went.
Since then, I've shown him some of the news broadcasts about child abuse among the JWs. I've also explained to him how lawsuits work (the basics), plus I've gotten him thinking about the Kingdom Hall finances, and why the new Kingdom Hall hasn't been built yet in our community. He quickly put 2 and 2 together and postulated that maybe all those lawsuits were to blame! He's just 11, but he seems to be 'getting it.' Thankfully, our extended families are not JW, and I've never been one myself.
Just be your boy's best bud, unconditionally. After a while, he'll see the difference between you and mommy. He might start asking, "how come mommy is like this, or that." No need to attack her personally, but you can attack the cult, and with some research, he should eventually 'get it.'

because she would not show him her puppies.. nobody has to tell you what country this happened in, you already know.. source.
Thanks Secret Slave...you hit the nail on the head, with your well-qualified outlook. IMO.
Any attempt by me, to convey that same level of reasoning, would've likely ended up in a half-drunken rant. Thank you, sir. Hua!
